Also before we dive into the good stuff, just want to say how cool this whole thing is. What started as friends running together has really taken a life of its own. We host 2000 free runs a year across the country, have hosted major pop ups at marathon weekends, have this app that trains tens of thousands of people in support of achieving wild goals, and have connected countless runners with friends to run with. So special. (I think we are still getting started which is the craziest part)!! Thanks for being here. You rock.
NOW lets dive in!! (if you prefer to watch, you can see the video here)
Running together just got a whole lot easier. This spring release introduces several major upgrades to the Endorphins app designed to make the social side of running more seamless, interactive, and connected. From hosting private runs with friends to upgraded chat, route planning, and a completely redesigned feed, these improvements help make it easier to coordinate runs, stay connected with your community, and share your training experience in real time.
Below is a full breakdown of what’s new.
Host a Run
Running with friends often starts in a group text. Plans change. Paces are unclear. Nobody knows where the meetup spot is. Sometimes the run never even happens.
With the new Host a Run feature, anyone can now organize a private run directly inside the Endorphins app.
When creating a run, you can now set:
- Meetup time
- Start location
- Planned pace
- Custom route
- Friend invites
This creates a significantly easier way to coordinate runs with friends outside of your normal run club schedule.
The New Feed
The Endorphins feed has been completely redesigned to create a more connected social experience inside the app.
You can now follow friends and see their:
- Runs
- Activities
- Training updates
- Photos and posts
This makes it easier to stay connected with the people you train alongside every day while seeing real-time activity from your community.
The feed is now significantly more interactive and conversational, helping runners engage more naturally throughout their training journey.
Reactions & GIFs
You can now react to posts inside the Endorphins feed using emojis and GIFs.
Whether celebrating a race result, reacting to a hard workout, or supporting a friend after a long run, reactions help make the community experience feel more alive and expressive.
These updates create a more dynamic and social experience throughout the app.
Spotify Song Sharing
Music is a major part of the running experience.
You can now attach Spotify songs directly to your runs and posts inside the Endorphins feed.
This allows runners to share the soundtrack behind their workouts, races, and long runs directly with friends and the community.
Whether it’s the song that carried you through a difficult workout or the track you had on repeat during marathon training, you can now share the music behind your miles.
Maps & Routes
Route planning is now built directly into the Endorphins app.
With Maps & Routes, you can now create, customize, and share running routes directly inside the platform.
Routes can be used for:
- Hosted runs
- Personal training runs
- Exploring new areas
- Coordinating meetup locations
This makes it significantly easier to organize runs with friends while helping runners discover and share new routes within their community.
Upgraded Chat
Messaging inside Endorphins has been completely upgraded.
The new chat experience is faster, cleaner, and designed to feel much more modern and interactive.
You can now:
- Reply directly to messages
- Manage conversations more efficiently
- Create polls inside chats
- Coordinate more easily with groups
These improvements make communication inside Endorphins feel significantly more seamless for both small friend groups and larger communities.
Spring isn’t just a new season. It’s a new way to run together.
Only the best,
Tyler
