Hi Endorphins! 👋
My name is Lilly, and I’m so excited to join this community! I’m a nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center here in NYC, where I get to care for some of the most resilient, inspiring people every single day.
This year, I’m taking on a huge personal first — I got into the NYC Marathon through Fred’s Team, MSK’s official marathon program that raises funds for cancer research. Running 26.2 miles feels wild to say out loud, but working alongside patients who face so much more every day makes me feel like I have no excuse not to try. 😄
If you’re curious about my why, want to support Fred’s Team, or just want to help fund the kind of research that’s changing lives at MSK, I’d love for you to check out my fundraising page! Don’t feel pressured to donate… but know every little bit means the world to me and continuing cancer research! http://mskcc.convio.net/goto/HelpLillyFightCancer
But honestly — I’m also just here to learn! This is my first marathon and I’m very much a newbie. Any tips, encouragement, or wisdom from this community is hugely appreciated. Can’t wait to run some miles with you all! 🏃♀️🗽
